Alligator attacks woman walking dog in Palm Harbor

PALM HARBOR — A 43-year-old woman was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after an alligator bit her while she was walking her dog, according to Spectrum Bay News 9.

The woman, who was not named by authorities, was bitten on her right leg while walking in the Lansbrook Village Apartments community, according to the Florida Wildlife Commission. The extent of her injuries was not released Tuesday night.

FWC officers and a contracted nuisance alligator trapper were dispatched to the scene, where the 7-foot, 7-inch alligator was trapped.

The dog was not injured in the attack, according to Bay News 9.
