WALLINGORD, CT - Frank DiCristina, site manager at allnex-Wallingford, along with his team, have recently produced containers of hand sanitizer, dubbed “allnex Handrub” for employees, first responders, and other community organizations in response to the local shortages of the product due to COVID-19.
“We are privileged to be able to do what we can to ensure the safety and health of those who are on the front lines,” DiCristina said. “I’m proud to work for an organization that is committed to giving back to our local communities.”
The sanitizer was produced with ingredients the site already had on hand, such as peroxide and glycerin, along with two other ingredients that had to be procured.
Several allnex sites around the globe have also produced the sought-after product, for use by employees and have donated to local organizations in need.
allnex’s back-ordered supply of commercial hand sanitizer was donated to local first responders, after the site began production of its own supply. The site’s generosity was recently featured on the Fox 61 Morning News program showcasing the production of the hand sanitizer.
“Our entire organization is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our employees and our community every day,” DiCristina said. “The production of allnex Handrub is simply an extension of this promise to those helping our friends and neighbors during this unprecedented time.”
