Whether you know Niecy Nash as the hilarious cop from Reno 911!, the tough manicurist on Claws, or from her latest gig as the (temporary) host of The Masked Singer (don’t worry, Nick Cannon will be back soon), it’s obvious that she’s one booked and busy lady. The Emmy-nominated comedian/actress/producer has her fair share of high-profile acting credits along with a few solid hosting positions. She stays working, and it’s safe to say her bank account reflects that. I mean, hey, if her Instagram grid is any indication, Niecy and her new wife are truly living the good life. So where exactly does Niecy’s cash flow come from? 💸 Let’s break it down.

She’s Made a Lot of TV $$$

As previously noted, Niecy’s IMDb page is stacked. She has been working onscreen since 1995 and recently began transitioning into doing more dramatic acting work, with projects like Selma (Plan B Entertainment) and When They See Us (Netflix). On top of that, she’s also hopped into the production sphere. The actor will be executive-producing the official Reno 911! reboot, set to air on the Roku Channel.

While we don’t know her exact salary for any of these gigs, we *do* know that Niecy always makes a point to pay it forward in the industry. In a 2019 interview, she told Black Girl Nerds:

“I’ve never gotten a job and not gotten somebody else a job. I don’t play that game. If I’m eating, then somebody else I know is going to eat. I’m going to bring you in some capacity, as a PA, a writer, or an actor. My whole thing is to be of service in the world.”

Now that’s how you attract some good karma.

And Then There’s Her Masked Singer Salary

Okay, I’m sorry to disappoint, but unfortunately, no one at FOX is willing to tell me just how much Niecy earns from her temporary hosting job (I mean, fair, that IS private information, I suppose). However, it’s worth noting that the show is massively successful (like, consistently earns top ratings among adults in the prime-time TV category), so I imagine they’re compensating her nicely.

She’s a Property Pro

Currently, Niecy owns a gorgeous Mediterranean home slightly north of Los Angeles’s famous Hidden Hills neighborhood. She picked up the six-bedroom home in December 2018 for a little more than $2 million. Honestly, Niecy is no stranger to the real estate game, as she’s made a solid profit off a couple of her former homes. In late 2019, she sold off an estate in Bell Canyon, California, for $1.26 million. She also sold another one of her homes in Northridge, California, for just shy of $1 million in spring 2019. Fingers crossed that she’ll make a guest appearance on Selling Sunset in the near future?

Niecy’s Got a Daytime Talk Show in the Works

As I learned in personal finance class, it never hurts to have multiple streams of income, which Niecy seems to have adopted as her personal motto. Late last year, Niecy was tapped by CBS Television to host her own talk show. We don’t know the exact figures inked in her contract, unfortunately, but it’s important to note that the show will be syndicated, so that means an even larger potential audience! (Larger audience = more ad revenue!)

And Niecy’s Total Net Worth Is…

As of 2021, Niecy’s got about $4 million in the bank, according to Celebrity Net Worth. That’s far from chump change, and considering that she’s been grinding the past 25 years, I’d say it’s well deserved indeed!
