Almost 2,000 children missing following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, says ombudsperson's office

The office noted that 1,164 people had called the Ombudsperson's hotline.
The requests are mostly from Donetsk (in particular, Mariupol), Kyiv and Kharkiv oblasts.
The office also explained what to do if a child goes missing.

It said citizens should call 0800-50-17-20, the round-the-clock hotline of the Verkhovna Rada's Commissioner for Human Rights. Applications to search for a child are promptly considered and transferred to rescue, medical and other authorities and services.

The public should also call the police on 102, so they can search for and return the child.
