Almost Maine set for run at Little Theatre

“Almost, Maine”, the final 2021-22 season’s production of the Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County, opens next week, and runs Thursdays through Sunday, Aug. 18-28.

Director Melanie Clay described the show as magical and intimate, making audiences laugh, cry and hold their breaths.

“Playwright John Cariani has expertly woven together nine vignettes depicting pivotal moments in the lives and relationships of his characters,” she said. "These characters are beautifully, and sometimes painfully, realistic and relatable, and we can all sympathize with the joy and the devastation each one feels. From a relationship at its shyest beginning moments to an argument between long-married spouses and everything in-between, audience members will feel every moment along with the characters. Anyone who experiences 'Almost, Maine' never forgets it.”

The cast, in order of appearance, includes: Garret Davis as Pete; Nicole Graham, Ginette; Chester Boffo, East; Jade Boffo, Glory; Logan Harper (August 18-21), Joe Compton (August 25-28), Jimmy; Ellie Zumbach, Sandrine;  Malarie Chineal, Waitress; Sheila Samson-Witt, Marvalyn; Shawn Clay, Steve; Shavonne McMillan, Gayle; Chester Boffo, Lendall; Joe Compton, Randy; Jay Cochran, Chad; Tom Morris, Phil; Allison Morris, Marci; Elizabeth Thomakos, Hope; Tom Morris, Man; Jack Thomas, Dave; and Ellie Dudeck, Rhonda.

“Almost, Maine” is sponsored by McInturf Reality-Christmas in the Park. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m., Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.
