It's an emergency! The Omaha-based alt-rock band 311 will perform at Horizon Events Center, 2100 N.W. 100th St. in Clive, in September.

The band will be joined by special guests Awolnation — the band behind “Sail,” “I'm On Fire,” and “Kill Your Heroes” — and Blame My Youth on Sept. 19.

The hitmakers behind “Beautiful Disaster,” “All Mixed Up,” and “Amber,” got their start in 1990 when guitarist Nick Hexum and drummer Chad Sexton — who both played music as students at Westside High School in Omaha —teamed up to form the band.

The band, whose name comes from the Omaha Police Department's citation for indecent exposure, performs a range of songs that draw from funk and hip-hop, and over the past 30 years, topped the charts with hits such as “Down,” “Come Original,” and “You Wouldn’t Believe.”

Last September, 311 played Hoyt Sherman Place.

Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m., while presale tickets are available on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., on 311.com/tour.
