Amanda Holden says she won't be toning down racy outfits as she dresses for herself
The star said people don't talk about what men wear in the same way
Amanda Holden has said she’s unlikely to start covering up any time soon, despite the fact that she has come under fire for her racy outfits in the past.
The TV star has been criticised for her risqué fashion choices on Britain’s Got Talent plenty of times, with some viewers claiming her dresses haven't left enough to the imagination.
One navy frock even triggered 235 complaints to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom.

But the 52-year-old told The Telegraph that she isn’t dressing to please others so won’t be toning it down unless she wants to.
Asked if she was going to change her style, she replied: “Absolutely not! I will always listen to myself first, because I dress for me – nobody else.
“So if you do one day see me dressed in a Victorian bathing suit, it’s because everything has dropped to the floor and I’ve decided, today is the day I’m going to start covering up.”
“But honestly, I can’t see that happening any time soon, darling,” added Holden.
The TV star - who is mum to daughters Lexi, 17, and Hollie, 11, with her hubby Chris Hughes - also noted how people talk about women and their clothes differently to the way that they talk about men and what they wear.
She said if she is snapped in a short skirt, the suggestion will be that she is showing off her legs, whereas nobody would say that about a man who was wearing shorts.
Holden is returning to our TV screens soon with new show Sex: A Bonkers History.

The star teamed up with TV historian Dan Jones to make the programme, which is a look at our sexual history of the past 2,500 years, and has admitted that she really had her “eyes opened”.
Sex: A Bonkers History starts on 18 September at 9pm on Sky History.
