Amanda Owen has hit back at claims that anyone else was involved in her marriage break-up, saying she is still single.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess split from husband of 22 years Clive Owen in 2022 after having nine children together and becoming TV stars with Channel 5's Our Yorkshire Farm.

She was the stand-out star of the documentary series about life at Ravenseat Farm and the harsh weather conditions she battled, often with her small children in tow.

But Owen has told Mail Online that the end of her marriage had nothing to do with anyone else and that she is quietly getting on with "looking after the kids and my sheep".

She said: "I’m getting on with my life as an independent woman, looking after the kids and my sheep. There was nobody involved in the break up with Clive and I don’t understand why this is being suggested."

Talking about her frustration at media speculation about the split, she added: "I’m not Meghan (Markle), I’m not a wallflower and I’m not over-sensitive, but a lot of things said about me are being taken out of context. I’m living a fantastic life doing what I really love."

Owen said that family life was running smoothly since their break-up, revealing that they are co-parenting their nine children and that "the whole family is very happy".

She continued that she often sees her ex-husband as he still lives at the farm alongside her and said: "There’s absolutely no problem between us. It’s been a very amicable split and we continue to work together. Everybody in the family is happy with the way things have turned out."

Earlier this week, Owen was a guest on Lorraine where she said that their co-parenting relationship was "not a big story".

She said of still both living at the farm: "That's what we have to do. It's not a big story. There's so many people in similar situations.

"It's that reality. We talk about reality television, but that is the reality. We all have to get on.

"You know what, there's a lot to do. There's the land to manage, the animals to manage, obviously childcare, everything else. We just have to get on with it."
