Sublime with Rome to perform at Starlight

Sublime with Rome takes the stage at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Starlight Ranch.

"What I Got," "Santeria," "Wrong Way," and "Doin' Time" remain innovative staples from the '90s alternative boom. But they accomplished even more: In less than a decade within the national limelight, the laid-back Long Beach trio spawned an entire genre — fusing reggae grooves, punk grittiness, ska energy, back porch folk introspection, and hip-hop swagger.

Selling more than 18 million albums to date, the music remains timeless — a rite of passage for misfit listeners who refuse to color within the lines of conventional genre.

Sublime with Rome came back with "Blessings", their 2019 album. With Rome Ramirez on lead vocals and original Sublime bassist and co-founder, Eric Wilson anchoring the group, Sublime With Rome is armed with a new album, along with drummer Carlos Verdugo, that makes a real statement… their statement.

Tickets for this show range from $40 to $125 (plus taxes and fees).
