Amarillo Food Establishment Inspection Report for April 16, 2023

The Food Establishment Inspection Report is a weekly report that appears Sundays. Information is taken from reports provided by the Environmental Health Department, and individual reports can be viewed at its website, http://amarillo.gov/departments/community-services/environmental-health/foodinspections. A numerical grading system is now being used, with a score of 100 points being equivalent to zero demerits.

  • 100 points – No major violation at the time of inspection

  • 85 points – Considered an average score

  • 70 points or below – Requires re-inspection within 24 hours

  • COS – Corrected on site during inspection

(B/89) Belmar Bakery and Café, 3325 Bell St. Prepared food items in containers without dates; grocery bags used for storage; all food not in original containers must have a label with common name of product. COS. (A/90) Buffalo Wild Wings, 9511 E. I-40. Soda guns in bar heavily soiled and growing mold; scoop handle touching top of macaroni and cheese (repeat violation). COS. Heavy trash and cigarette butts on floor in back dock area; women’s restroom ceiling has water damage and is exposing dry wall (repeat violation). Correct by 04/24. Exposed wood above soda machine near front door must be sealed (repeat violation); mop sink faucet is leaking. Correct by 07/09. Condensate dripping onto boxes of food stored in walk-in freezer; water accumulating in bottom of bar glass coolers and beginning to contact glasses; a smooth, durable, easily cleanable and non-absorbent ceiling is needed above the east side server station above hand sink and soda fountain (repeat violation); floor under door for walk-in cooler near office with metal plate beginning to come loose (repeat violation); large hole cut out exposing pipes and insulation in wall above beer cooler (repeat violation); hand washing signs needed in men and women’s restrooms Correct by 08/09.
