Amarillo Globe-News, Lubbock Avalanche-Journal Week 2 high school football picks
Each week the Lubbock and Amarillo high school sports reporters will pick winners from a list of 25 high school football games (20 11-man contests and five six-man games). They will not be picking games that they will be covering that week. Those games are marked by "Full coverage" next to the contest.
The first week of the selections went pretty well for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal crew and not so well for the Amarillo Globe-News' duo.
But, it's just the first week. Ten more weeks for things to take a turn one way or the other.
Here are the standings after the first week of high school football predictions, based on winning percentage.
Nathan Giese: 18-5 overall (78.3%)
Stephen Garcia: 18-6 overall (75%)
Shawn Moran & Hart Pisani (tie): 8-15 overall (34.8%)
