Amarillo Globe-News making changes to distribution of print editions

Gannett, the parent company of the Amarillo Globe-News, is announcing a change to delivery services coming next month.

The Globe-News is committed to continue being a vital part of the community by bringing local reporting to our subscribers who support local journalism. The Globe-News is also committed to the sustainable future of local news, providing the news, sports, events and information readers value most and is adapting to a competitive digital world, continuing to strive to provide coverage across multiple platforms. The newspaper recognizes the value our subscribers place on our print editions and is doing everything to ensure consistent delivery. With that said, the Globe-News will transition to a mail delivery effective with the Monday, July 10 edition.

Unfortunately, the current environment has led to ongoing challenges in regard to newspaper delivery. The Globe-News is shifting its distribution model, starting in July, from carrier delivery to delivery via the U.S. Postal Service, in a commitment to guarantee more timely delivery to our subscribers. Along with online content and the eNewspaper, subscribers will continue to receive their daily editions, now through the mail.

As the United States Postal Service does not deliver on Sundays, the Globe-News will make every effort for readers to receive their normal Sunday publication delivered on Saturday. They can also find Saturday's e-edition, the electronic version of the printed paper that is available early morning. This replica of the newspaper, accessible on computer or mobile device, can be found at amarillo.com/enewspaper and includes puzzles and comics. Subscribers also have universal access to eNewspaper publications across the network, including USA TODAY, as well as unlimited access to the USA TODAY Crossword digital app and site.

Those who may have any questions about this change or need assistance accessing the eNewspaper can contactCustomer Service at 1-806-376-5881 or visit https://help.amarillo.com/contact-us.
