Jun. 2—MAPLE LAKE — The Maple Lake Lakers scored in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the Litchfield Blues 5-4 in a North Star League amateur baseball game Wednesday night.
Litchfield rallied from a 4-0 deficit with three runs in the seventh and one in the top of the ninth before the Lakers rallied.
Cody Klabunde went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base and Brady Smith was 3-for-4 with two RBI to lead Litchfield.
Grant Mergen was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Ben Reilley was 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI for Maple Lake.
