The holidays are right around the corner, which means we'll all have to attend to our hosting duties for Friendsgivings, holiday parties, and fancy dinners. If you want your home looking spiffy for when the guests arrive, there's no better time to invest in a robot vacuum to keep your floors clean of dirt, pet hair, and dust bunnies. I just bought one this month (which I affectionately named "Pete Davidson" because of it's thin design) and I can't stress enough how helpful it is. If you want to invest in your very own, right now you can get some serious Black Friday discounts on the most legendary robot vacuums, iRobot Roombas.
For a limited time on Amazon, you can score discounts on select Roombas. We're talking up to $150 in savings, which are such huge discounts that they may compete with their Black Friday prices. Now's honestly a great time to buy if you've always wanted a "DJ Roomba," in the words of Tom Haverford, to scoot around your home and do your vacuuming while you don't lift a finger.
Here's a list of some of the best Roombas on sale, and what to expect from them:
1. Roomba 960
If you're looking for a Wi-FI connected Roomba but don't want to splurge on the i7 series, their 900 models are a great middle-ground choice. The 960 is currently $100 off its usual $549 asking price, making it an even more affordable option. When we tested this model specifically, we found it offered powerful suction, had a solid battery power and was easy to connect to the iRobot app to schedule cleanings and decide which rooms get vacuumed. With its multi-surface brushes, it's also an ideal choice for homes with pets.
2. Roomba 675
The 675 jumps out as the most obvious choice if you're looking for a Roomba that won't break the bank. With nearly 2,000 reviews and a solid 4-star rating, this is one of their most popular and affordable entry-level models, and is currently $41 cheaper than its usual $270 price tag. This Roomba can run for up to 90 minutes on a single charge, and will automatically dock and recharge once it's running low on battery. It should perform well no matter the floor type as well, so if you're looking for one that still has all the basic functionalities like dirt sensors and intelligent navigation, it's a solid choice that won't leave your wallet empty.
3. Roomba 690
While it has the same cleaning capabilities as the 675—including a three-stage cleaning system and multi-surface brushes—if your home is a little larger, you may want to opt for the Roomba 690. This is because this model also includes a "virtual wall barrier," so you can keep your robot in the rooms you want to be cleaned and away from the ones you don't. Though it fluctuates in price and can be upwards of $300, right now you can get it for $280 on Amazon or from Target if you prefer to shop there.
4. Roomba E5
As the newest model on the list, the E5 (with the "E" standing for economy class) is a robot vacuum designed to balance affordability and performance. Though not as smart as the 960, the E5 excels in areas where Roombas like the 690 do not, offering incredibly thorough cleaning, a long, 90-minute runtime, and featuring a large collection bin that doesn’t need to be emptied often. It's even compatible with Alexa, so you can command it to clean using just your voice. It's also down $100 right now, making it one of the most appealing deals on this list.
5. Roomba 614
If you're ballin' on a budget and looking for the most barebones workhorse of the bunch, the Roomba 614 could be the robot vacuum for you. While not as feature-rich as the newer Roombas in the 600 series, it will have a similar cleaning performance and at only $220, is the cheapest option on the list, especially since it usually retails for $250.
No matter which Roomba you decide on, iRobot is a trustworthy brand that is known for their high-quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service. There's a reason why "Roomba" has become synonymous with robot vacuum in recent years; their popularity is undeniable, and anyone who owns one seems incredibly fortunate for their adorable cleaning assistants doing all the dirty work for them.
