Amazon Prime Day—the company’s biggest sale of the year—is in fully swing, running through today, Tuesday, June 22, ending at midnight PT, with deals on more than 2 million items, according to a recent news release.

The 48-hour mega shopping event, which began yesterday, first started back in 2015 as a one-day sale. It's since grown into two full days of deals across the site, plus special promotions. This year, shoppers can earn a $10 credit for every $10 they spend on select small business products and brands through June 20.

Is Amazon Prime Day exclusively for members?

Yes. Before you can take advantage of the sale and start shopping, you'll need to become a Prime member and sign up for their 30-day free trial membership. After the trial ends, you’ll have to spring for a yearly subscription fee of $119, or $12.99 per month.

What kind of deals are there on Prime Day?

Some deals run for the entire length of the sale, others run for 24 hours or more, and there are even “Lightning Deals” that last for a few hours. There are also sales that highlight specific brands or categories. Check the site often if you’re looking to snag a deal on a particular item.
