Amazon is coming to the Pender Commerce Park and is expected to create more than 100 full-time jobs.

According to a news release from Wilmington Business Development, a 142,000-square-foot facility is expected to be finished in 2023 and will serve a growing customer base in the Wilmington area.

Sam Blatt, Amazon’s Economic Development Manager for North Carolina, stated he's excited to continue to invest in North Carolina with a new delivery station for customers.

“The region has an excellent, growing workforce that will support the success of this important new facility," Blatt stated.

The delivery station will bring hundreds of full and part-time jobs, paying at least $15 per hour, in addition to driver opportunities for Amazon’s Delivery Service Partners and Amazon Flex drivers. Delivery Stations power the last mile of Amazon’s order process and help speed up deliveries for customers. Packages are shipped to a Delivery Station from neighboring Amazon Fulfillment and Sortation Centers, loaded into delivery vehicles and delivered to customers.
