Many reusable water bottle companies claim their bottles are the best—but with so many on the market, how do you choose? We have two words for you: Amazon reviews. The people have spoken, and the verdict is in: CamelBak makes some of the most airtight, leak-proof, well-insulated, and ergonomic water bottles on Earth. “It’s a well-made bottle that has exceeded my expectations right off the bat,” according to one reviewer.

And thanks to Amazon’s Black Friday ramp-up sales, the top-rated CamelBak Chute Mug Water Bottle is available at a 40 percent discount, with prices starting at less than $13 for a top-quality canister “FINALLY hits all the points for a great on-the-go water bottle,” according to one well-quenched customer. Another calls the Chute “The best water bottle I've ever owned!

Long walks and weekend hikes are just more fun when you have a sleek, high-performance stainless steel water bottle to carry around instead of a store-bought plastic bottle that lets water get warm after just a few chugs.

Let’s take a look at the technology: Each CamelBack Chute bottle is vacuum-insulated to keep beverages cold for about a full day or hot for six hours, the company claims. Its angled spout is spill-proof and its threaded cap screws on tight to prevent leaks.

But you can just take it from the Amazon shoppers who love the Chute bottle and are happy to count the ways. “Here's everything that makes it so great,” writes one person. “[It’s] insulated, fits in cup holders, wide mouth that allows for ice and easy cleaning, easy to clean lid, leak proof yet the spout opens in just two turns, magnetic cap that keeps it open and out of your face, and a handle that makes it super easy to carry with two fingers or to attach to your bag with a [carabiner] clip. This is the only bottle I've been happy to carry around with me everyday.”

Need they say more? Well, yes, because some customers love the Chute for the peace of mind they get using it. “I bought this bottle because I didn't want to even think about whether a plastic bottle might be free of chemicals contaminating my water. I didn't want to have to consider whether a now-approved plastic component might turn out to be carcinogenic, so I bought this stainless steel bottle,” someone wrote. “While more expensive than plastic, it's really worth it...I replaced all plastic bottles with these for everyone in my household.”

A lot of these customers have even tried and passed on bigger brand names in favor of their CamelBak. “I've had Klean Kanteens, Nalgenes...This is by far my favorite,” one wrote. “I have a similar sized Hydro Flask with a straw that always leaks. The CamelBak does not leak as long as you screw the cap back on,” said another.

A third even did a thorough comparison, and the Camelbak still came out on top. “Couldn't decide which water bottler to purchase - Hydro Flask or the CamelBak, so I purchased one of each!,” this shopper wrote. “The CamelBak is hands-down my favorite. Slimmer than its 32oz competitor, it's easier to grip for this female user...No condensation. No leaks.”

The bottle comes in a whole slew of cool colors, and one die-hard Camelbak fan who brought their “surprisingly rugged” bottle on a 30-day trip Europe—knocking it around quite a bit, though it stayed good as new—noted that the hues are “nice, but tame, nod to color blocking. 10/10 would buy again.”
