Amazon seeks to hire 500 employees for new Stockton facility

Amazon's newest facility in Stockton is known as a "Cross Dock Center," which is the first of its kind in the region. Company representatives said the warehouse promises to cut down on costs and increase production. "We launched this building with a vision to be the employer of choice in Stockton, obsessing over people's safety, having a very diverse environment and focusing on talent development," said Ram Rajagopal, the general manager of the Stockton site. Amazon managers said since October 2021, the company hired thousands of people for the Stockton site at a minimum wage of $17.55 an hour.
