“Amazon Studios has long prioritized authentic storytelling from LGBTQIA+ talent and storytellers. After the tremendous response to our Voices: API Representation in Film and Media event last month, we want to continue driving the conversation forward around the immediate steps Hollywood can take to improve representation and positively impact the media landscape,” Amazon Studios and IMD global head of DEI Latasha Gillespie said in a statement. “We are delighted to celebrate Pride by hosting our next installment of Amazon Studios Voices and invite everyone to join us in the conversation around authentic and intersectional representation of the LGBTQIA+ community on screen and behind the camera.”

Voices: Pride will kick off at 9 a.m. PT with a welcome from Gillespie and then head into a tribute to the visibility of the trans community by playing Amazon Studios video for Trans Day of Visibility, which took place March 31.

Panels and conversations will center around discussing various films, television shows and musicals, including “My Name is Pauli Murray,” “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie,” “With Love” and “A League of Their Own.” The 10-minute lightning talks will feature writer and advocate Krit Fanene Schmidt; GLAAD and LATAM leader Monica Transendes and media strategist Tre Borden.

The full-day itinerary and access to event registration can be found by visiting Amazon Studios’ diversity, equity and inclusion site here.
