Update: 16-year-old girl last seen in Knoxville found safe

Update: Holly Piper was found safe Feb. 24 in Mississippi, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The 18-year-old with her was taken into custody.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 16-year-old girl last seen on Cumberland Avenue in Knoxville.

Police say Holly Piper was last seen at about 3 a.m. Feb. 19. She may be with an 18-year-old who picked her up in a white 1999 Dodge Caravan with Tennessee license plate BMM-5038.

The 18-year-old has a court date on March 2 and police say he may be fleeing. Holly may be with him.

She is 5-foot-7, weighs 125 pounds and has black hair and hazel eyes. She has a septum piercing.
