Missing Plover boys located safe in Iowa and Amber Alert canceled

PLOVER − An Amber Alert has been canceled for two missing Plover boys.

The boys, ages 7 and 9, had been missing since Monday morning and were believed to be with their father. The Plover Police Department announced late Tuesday morning that the boys had been located safe in Muscatine, Iowa.

Plover Police Chief Ryan Fox said an investigation is underway. No further information is available.

Fox thanked the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Illinois State Police, the Muscatine Police Department (Iowa), the Rock Island Police Department (Illinois), the Clinton Police Department (Iowa), Wausau Police Department, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Portage County Sheriff’s Office and the Portage County Child Protective Services for assisting the Plover Police Department.
