Amber Alert canceled for 2-week-old Texas infant reportedly abducted by noncustodial mom

Update: The Amber Alert has been canceled, according to WFAA Channel 8.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a 14-day-old infant who was allegedly abducted by her noncustodial mother, officials said.

According to the Texas Amber Alert, Sonni Meilike was last seen Thursday, Oct. 6, in the 300 block of Floydene Street in Livingston.

Law enforcement officials said they believe she is in grave or immediate danger, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Sonni is described as white with brown hair and blue eyes. She weighs 8 pounds, is 19 inches long and was last seen wearing a pink shirt and diaper.

Sonni’s alleged abductor is 31-year-old Sylvia Norman, who is described as a white woman with brown hair and blue eyes. She is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue shorts with white leggings underneath and has tattoos on her back and her left arm.
