8-year-old girl from Duplin County found safe after Amber Alert, sheriff says

WARSAW, N.C. (WNCN) — The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has cancelled an Amber Alert Wednesday morning for a young girl.

The alert came out at 3:48 a.m. for 8-year-old Callie Holloman. It said she was missing out of Duplin County and was believed to be endangered.

It said her last known location was on the 200 block of Joe Johnson Road in Warsaw.

That alert was cancelled just after 9 a.m. and the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office said Holloman was found safe.

The alert described Callie as a white female with blonde hair, blue eyes, freckles on her face, and is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 50 pounds.

Investigators said Callie was believed to be with 38-year-old Ronda Layton Holloman.

They did not say if she was found with her.

Callie and Ronda were believed to be in a Black Acura MDX with North Carolina license tag. The vehicle was described as Unknown license plate.
