Former Love Island star and West End performer Amber Davies has revealed the adjustments she had to make preparing to compete on 2024's season of Dancing on Ice.
The performer, who won the third season of Love Island alongside Kem Cetinay in 2017, is part of the star-studded cast of the recently-premiered 16th season of Dancing on Ice – and speaking to Radio Times, Davies has explained how strenuous her training for the frosty show was.
Despite having appeared in productions of 9 to 5: The Musical, Bring It On: The Musical, Back to the Future: The Musical and Pretty Woman, Davies revealed, "I feel like I've had to throw my dance training out the window a little bit."

Continuing, she explained the difference between dancing and skating.
"[With] dancing you have to keep your legs straight, you have to be up tight," she said. "With skating, it's all bent knees.
"I need to have 'bend your knees' on Simon's forehead because I'm so upright all the time. So it's swings and roundabouts really. Being on ice, it's a different ballgame."

However n the first episode of Dancing on Ice (January 14), which saw the first six pairings perform, Davies and partner Simon Senecal nabbed the second highest score of the night, with 25 out of a possible 40.
They were second to Coronation Street's Ryan Thomas, who scored 26.5 with his partner Amani Fancy.
Placing last, when taking the public vote and judges' scores into account, boxer Ricky Hatton and his professional partner Robin Johnstone will have to skate in next week's skate off.
Dancing on Ice airs on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
