Amber Portwood's Spot On 'Teen Mom OG' Is Reportedly In Jeopardy
After that recent machete-wielding attack in which Amber Portwood allegedly attacked Andrew Glennon, it's being reported that Portwood's gig with "Teen Mom OG" may be in trouble.
Recent Charges Spell Trouble
Portwood was recently arrested in the domestic violence incident in which she went after Glennon with a machete, while Glennon was holding their young daughter.
She faces three felony charges: domestic battery, domestic battery in the presence of a child, and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
It's Been a Long Time
She's spent 10 years on "Teen Mom OG," and her recent alleged actions may be the nail in the coffin on her MTV collaboration.
Sources tell TMZ that if she is convicted she will lose her place on the show.
They've Stuck By Her
MTV has been supportive of Portwood in the past, when she faced other domestic-violence charges. In 2010, she allegedly hit Gary Shirley, her ex; MTV apparently caught the whole thing.
Other Factors At Play
The following year, she served jail time after drug possession charges, which she admitted to.
But this action, where her daughter could have been put in danger, may have crossed the line with MTV. It's worth noting that Portwood has borderline personality disorder and has spoken about her battle with bipolar disorder.
