Ambulances Line Up Near Crematorium as India's COVID Cases Soar

Ambulances lined up outside a crematorium in Bengaluru, India, on April 27, a local journalist reported, as COVID deaths in India mounted.

Video shared on Twitter by Times of India journalist Petlee Peter shows a row of ambulances. In a tweet accompanying the video, he said the vehicles were carrying COVID victims who were waiting for their last rites.

India’s Ministry of Health reported 360,960 new cases on Wednesday for the previous 24 hours, and 3,293 deaths.
