American Airlines adds daily flights at CLT to Midwest city where John Deere is based

A small airport about 170 miles west of Chicago lobbying for nonstop service to Charlotte saw its efforts pay off.

Quad Cities International Airport in Moline, Illinois, announced yesterday that American Airlines will launch two daily flights this winter to Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Moline is home to the headquarters of Deere & Co., which makes agricultural, construction and forestry equipment and machinery under the John Deere banner.
