American Airlines hosts Medal of Honor Recipients

Organizations and people across the Charlotte area celebrated National Medal of Honor Day. American Airlines took to the skies to give the recent recipients a VIP experience they would never forget.

Over a dozen Medal of Honor recipients boarded the Flagship Valor, an American Airlines Airbus 321 dedicated to people who have received the highest award for military bravery while serving in combat. The Airbus 321 is commemorating its first anniversary since its launch in 2022.

All Medal of Honor recipients were given VIP treatment while on board and they were greeted by team members and volunteers, walked the red carpet, and were given a water cannon salute.

The recipients will also be honored at events in Washington D.C., including a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetary.
