American Legion Post 29 to hold Charity Golf Tournament

Jul. 20—The American Legion Post 29 in Marietta will have its 27th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Sept. 19 at the Dogwood Country Club in Austell.

The event is held in honor of first responders and the proceeds go to fund the Marietta Police Department, the Marietta Fire Department, the Cobb County Sheriff's Department and the Kennestone Hospital Emergency Room Services.

There will be a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. Cost is $125 per person or $500 per team. Hole sponsorships are also available at a $125 per hole.

Prizes will be awarded as well as breakfast and lunch being included.
