American Legion Post 801 elects new post commander
Nordonia Hills American Legion Post 801 has elected Jim Krasnicki as the 2022 -23 Post Commander.
A graduate of John Carroll University, he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant, U.S. Army Transportation Corps. A veteran of Vietnam, he was awarded a Bronze Star for combat action against the enemy when he filled in a “soft spot” in defenses while under attack at An Loc, South Vietnam.
Krasnicki currently also serves as a trustee for the Nordonia Hills Veterans Park and first vice president of the Sons of the American Legion.
Post 801 meets monthly at 7 p.m. in the lower level of the city of Macedonia Safety Building. Many active Ohio National Guard members and veterans are unaware they are eligible to join The American Legion encourages interested men and women to inquire about membership with chairman Rick Devine at 330-631-5528.
Residents of Northfield Center, Krasnicki and his spouse Judy recently celebrated their golden anniversary. They are parents of Sharon Finn (John), Northfield Village and Barbara Foust (Dr. Chris), Parma. They have four grandchildren. The Krasnickis are parishioners of ?????.
