They’re picking up the pieces.

American Pickers” star Danielle Colby said Monday she is “truly saddened” by picker Frank Fritz’s exit from the show and she hopes he “receives all the help he needs.”

Fritz’s departure from the show was confirmed last month by History Channel and his fellow picker Mike Wolfe. Shortly before that confirmation, Fritz revealed he hadn’t spoken with Wolfe in two years, after 40 years of friendship. The show has continued with Wolfe and Colby; Fritz’s last episode aired in March 2020.

“Out on the road again with my best friend and my big brother [who] I support fully and stand behind,” Colby wrote in an Instagram post with Wolfe. “I’m proud of how you have handled the last 12 years and look forward to many more years of rolling around this big blue marble together.”

After his final episode aired, Fritz said he had back surgery and then the pandemic suspended filming. He also said he went to rehab for alcohol addiction.

Fritz did not elaborate on exactly why he and Wolfe haven’t spoken in so long.

“I’m truly saddened for the loss of Frank on the show. I’m incredibly sad for his struggles,” Colby wrote Monday. “Frank caused so much pain for himself that it has been hard to watch. I truly hope Frank receives all the help he needs to become well after years of being unwell.”
