Do you have an unusual vintage car gathering dust in the garage, a baseball signed by one of the greatest players of all time, Hollywood memorabilia or even Queen Victoria’s silk stockings?

These are just a few things The History Channel hit show “American Pickers” has discovered over the years while scavenging through the United States.

They’re coming back to California in September and again in January looking for unique finds and stories.

As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, the Pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, they want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items.

They hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way. They are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before and learn the stories behind them.

The show follows skilled pickers Mike Wolfe, Danielle Colby and Robbie Wolfe as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques. The Pickers were in California last October and found such great items that they are returning to the state, said associate producers Lynneisha Charles and Joshua Kerlin.

What kind of antiques do they like?

Well, Mike Wolfe, who co-founded the show in 2009, is a Harley-Davidson fan and loves all kinds of vehicles. His brother Robbie likes to collect signs, old bikes, clocks, old motorcycle parts and funky old contraptions like grinders and wine presses.

Danielle Colby is more on the artsy side, so she likes art, prints, vintage clothes and Hollywood memorabilia.

But they want to look at anything unique that you’re ready to sell.

Last year in California they found a hidden stash of retro surf shop relics and a Prohibition-era bowling alley.

The Pickers have a reputation for giving fair prices for the things they buy, according to Kerlin.

“That’s why a lot of people contact us.”

Their finds are for sale at Antique Archeology stores in LeClaire, Iowa and Nashville, Tenn. Items can also be purchased online at www.antiquearcheology.com.

“American Pickers” is looking for leads to hidden treasures. If you or someone you know has a unique item, story to tell, and is ready to sell, they would love to hear from you.

The Pickers do not pick stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums or anything open to the public, producers said.
