The American Pickers TV show is returning to Florida in January and is looking for unique collections in the Bradenton area to pick and film.

“If you or someone you know has a unique item, story to tell, and is ready to sell, we would love to hear from you! Please note, the Pickers do not pick stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums, or anything open to the public,” the History Channel show said in a press release.

The cast is “always excited to find historically significant or rare items, in addition to unforgettable characters and their collections,” the press release said.

Among the unforgettable characters American Pickers has previously featured is Bradenton resident Travis Palmer.

Palmer, a former roadie who toured with Johnny Cash, George Jones, B.B. King and others, told the Bradenton Herald in 2018 that “nothing was scripted. Everything they did and all the offers made were while the cameras were rolling.”

In addition to creating an entertaining TV show, American Pickers seeks to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while sharing a thing or two about America’s past.

The series first aired in 2010.

“The Pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before. They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them,” the press release said.

American Pickers follows all guidelines and protocols for safe filming outlined by the state and CDC.
