This is the first of several planned expansion offices by American State Bank. The new office, located at 4010 82nd St., Ste. 110, (806-614-4900) will be led by Bud Holmes, regional president Lubbock area, of American State Bank. Holmes is a longtime banking leader in the Lubbock and South Plains area.

“We are extremely pleased about the opportunity to open a loan production office in Lubbock,” said Brandon Steele, chairman of American State Bank and its holding company Steele Bancshares, Inc., in a news release. “As a community bank committed to Texas, we’re looking to fill a need for entrepreneurs, businesses, farmers and ranchers whose previous banks may have merged and moved on.  And I can’t think of a better leader in the Lubbock banking community than Bud Holmes.  His roots are firmly planted in Lubbock and his commitment to civic and community affairs are well known.”

Steele added, “On a personal note, my family lived many years in West Texas and my father is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University.  It’s like coming home for me.”

“I am very excited to help establish American State Bank’s footprint in Lubbock,” Holmes said. “Our core values and commitment to community businesses are well known throughout Texas. And our focus on technology and banking services positions us strongly for our customers’ growth. We are committed to the growth and success of our customers and the entire West Texas community.”
