Gilbert boys soccer player Zach Holtan was voted the Ames Tribune Athlete of the Week for April 30-May 6 by Tribune readers.
Holtan dominated the voting, receiving 93.53% of the total vote.
Holtan had a productive day for the Gilbert boys soccer team at the Nevada Invitational.
Holtan had two goals and one assist during a 4-0 victory over Marshalltown and one assist in a 2-1 triumph over Des Moines Hoover. During the victory over Nevada in the championship game, Holtan tallied a goal and an assist apiece.
