This nourishing hair mask leaves my frizzy hair so smooth and soft

Even though I have never bleached, dyed or chemically treated my hair in any way, it’s a fickle mess. Somehow, I have hair that is both thick and fine, curly and straight, voluminous and flat, oily and dry. Oh and frizzy. Super fun! And then the amika soulfood nourishing hair mask magically popped into my lap (read: I got a sample with my Sephora points).

Since I started using the amika soulfood nourishing hair mask about a year ago, my hair has become softer, more voluminous, smoother, bouncier and looks stupidly healthy.

This mask also makes my hair smell so, so good.

I normally swap in the amika soulfood nourishing hair mask for my regular conditioner every two shampoos. But if my hair needs some extra love, I’ll just use the mask as my conditioner. Honestly, I could probably use it for every wash — it’s just that good.

As far as the actual mask goes, it has a luxurious thick and creamy texture. It also low-key smells like you baked a Boston cream pie in a high-end hair salon. I know that doesn’t really make sense, but trust me. It’s yummy and fresh.

The amika nourishing soulfood mask contains two ultra-nourishing ingredients: Jojoba seed oil and sea buckthorn. The jojoba seed oil is rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, D and E, while the sea buckthorn is rich in fatty acids, for a holy grail conditioning formula. It’s also worth noting that the mask contains panthenol, which is one of the most popular and powerful moisturizing agents in hair care. (We love panthenol.)

I’m not the only one who always has a jar of the amika nourishing hair mask in their shower. Both Sephora and Amazon reviewers with all hair types agree. Amazon reviewers even gave the hair mask a 4.7 out of 5 stars rating.

One Amazon shopper called the mask “excellent” for dry hair and shared: “If you have curly kinky hair and you need that extra love, here it is. I put it on before I go int he shower for 5 minutes to help moisturize my strands. There’s a noticeable difference when I style after the shower. And! I love the smell.”

Meanwhile, a Sephora shopper said, “Literally right after the first wash my hair was so much softer and actually looked healthy.” I mean, same.

No, like, I would marry the amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask if I wasn’t already engaged to my human fiancé.

This mask also makes my hair smell so, so good.
