‘New Amsterdam’ Dropped a Major Hint That Reynolds Is Leaving the Show

• New Amsterdam is dropping all kinds of hints that Reynolds might leave the show.

• Fans are not happy, and were even less so when actor Jocko Sims sent out a cryptic tweet about his future.

Is New Amsterdam about to lose another character on the show?

We’re still recovering after the shocking death of Georgia (Lisa O'Hare) in the season 2 premiere. But the popular NBC drama is now dropping hints that we should start preparing our goodbyes for another cast member, too.

So much went down in the episode, “Code Silver” after some inmates from Rikers Island wreaked havoc on the hospital (which is based on a real place, by the way). One of the most stressful storylines was when Dr. Reynolds (Jocko Sims) was stabbed.

It was a relief to see him pull through, but that happiness quickly faded away when we saw his fiancée Evie (Margot Bingham) at his bedside. She told him that she was turning down a job offer in California for the sake of their relationship.

“Life’s too short for long distance,” she said.

But here’s where the real drama comes in. He responded, “Don’t. San Francisco’s sounding really good right about now. Let’s get out of here.”

Let’s get out of here!? And move to another coast?! Fans didn’t like that one bit.

Actor Jocko didn’t do much to suppress people’s stress, either. When someone asked if he was leaving he replied, “Anything is possible on this show…” To another he simple said, “Uhm.”

We hope he’s just trolling us and leaving us in suspense. But to his point, you never know what can happen on New Amsterdam so we suggest taking the proper emotional precautions now.
