Amy Klobuchar isn't afraid to troll Donald Trump. Her latest effort involves a photo of John Legend, Chrissy Teigen

WASHINGTON -- Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, began her White House bid by clapping back at President Donald Trump and hasn't stopped since then.

Late Monday, Klobuchar posted a photo of herself from a 2015 Vanity Fair event sitting next to celebrity couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, the latest in a growing list of targets for the president's online ire. "Thinking back to a simple time when Presidents didn't attack private citizens," Klobuchar posted on Twitter along with the photo, taking a dig at Trump.

Back In February, after she announced she was running for president during a snowy rally in Minneapolis, she was on the receiving of a presidential tweet observing that by “the end of her speech she looked like a Snowman(woman).” In the same tweet, Trump observed that at her launch rally, Klobuchar had been "talking proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures."

Klobuchar came back right at Trump with a tweet about his hair.

“Science is on my side, @realDonaldTrump. Looking forward to debating you about climate change (and many other issues). And I wonder how your hair would fare in a blizzard?”

Sunday night, the president began tweeting about Teigen and Legend after Legend was featured in MSNBC's final installment of Lester Holt's "Justice For All" series. Sunday's report included an interview with Legend discussing his organization Free America, which aims to "amplify the voices of individuals impacted by the criminal justice system and those who are working to change it," according to its website.

Trump complained Sunday night that "people pushing so hard for Criminal Justice Reform... came to me as a group and asked for my help," but now isn't getting any credit, seemingly referring to the First Step Act he signed into law in December, which allows prisoners to get more days removed from their sentences for good behavior.

Trump also tweeted: “....musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is - but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed. “Anchor” @LesterHoltNBC doesn’t even bring up the subject of President Trump or the Republicans when talking about....”

In response, Teigen tweeted: "lol what a (expletive). tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president." Teigen tweeted about Trump again and again called the president a three-word expletive. She also referred to his tweets as his "9th meltdown of the day."

In response to the online drama involving Trump, Klobuchar weighed in late Monday, tweeting a picture of herself with the celebrity couple who often criticize the president.

“So the President went after ⁦@johnlegend⁩ and ⁦@chrissyteigen⁩ on twitter...thinking back to a simpler time when Presidents didn’t attack private citizens. And hey, I have no idea how I got into this Vanity Fair photo, but I did. #PoliticsOfJoy”

Earlier in the week, after news broke about Vice President Mike Pence's stay at Trump's Ireland resort, Klobuchar also took to Twitter, writing “As President, I pledge that my Vice President will never stay at my resort. Oh that’s right, I don’t own a resort.”

And in a television appearance Sunday, Klobuchar slammed Trump’s scrapped invitation to host Taliban leaders for secret peace talks at Camp David, saying that it was "another example of the President conducting foreign policy like a game show."

Klobuchar has qualified for the September and October Democratic primary debates but is still only polling at around 2 percent, according to a recent Washington Post- ABC News poll.
