It’s hard to believe it, but it’s been almost an entire year since Amy Schumer welcomed her son Gene Attell Fisher into the world. But it’s true — to celebrate her little boy turning 11-months-old, Schumer just shared a new photo of baby Gene that’s equally funny, relatable and off-the-charts adorable. And judging by this cute snapshot, it seems safe to say that the toddler takes after his mom in more ways than one.

Schumer took to Instagram as Sunday night turned into the first hours of Monday to commemorate another month with her son. Her photo of choice to mark the occasion? Baby Gene sitting on the floor while wearing a tiny chef outfit, complete with the classic toque blanche (aka “white hat”). Despite the innocent look on Gene’s cherubic little face, though, he was up to no good. As one hand hangs down by his side, the other is slyly trying to remove the kid-proof cover from an electrical outlet.

“11 months and sneaky as hell,” Schumer aptly captioned the photo. And let’s just come right out with it: Baby Gene may be dressed like his chef dad Chris Fischer, but his penchant for mischief (not to mention that face!) is all Mom.

This isn’t the only recent evidence Schumer has captured of her son’s spirited personality. Last week, she shared a video of the toddler determined to crawl over the top of several bins of books and toys. “Wild route you’re taking,” she says to the little boy just before he triumphantly gets to the end and grabs the toy he’d been eyeballing.

The family, who is based in New York City, seems to be making the most of their self-isolation. In addition to spending quality time together inside their home, they’ve been spotted taking regular walks around their neighborhood.
