Analyst says 'likely' U.S. recession will be 'benign in scope'

STORY: Worries that overly aggressive moves by the Federal Reserve to reign in decades-high inflation could push the economy over the brink of recession continue to grow among investors, but Wantrobski said he saw a buying opportunity in today's U.S. stock market.

"The U.S. was indeed able to grow and have, not only a bull market in stocks, but really secular economic expansion in a rising interest rate environment," said Wantrobski, pointing to periods following The Great Depression and World War Two.
