Anderson County Juvenile Court judge deployed to Africa
Anderson County Juvenile Court Judge Brian Hunt has been deployed to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa.
Major Hunt is a U.S. Army Reserve JAG officer. Djibouti is strategically located by the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait which separates the Gulf of Aden from the Red Sea.
Hunt is a 1996 graduate of Clinton High School. He was first elected as juvenile judge in 2014 and subsequently re-elected in 2022.
He is the son of Les and Gail Hunt and has a daughter, Reagan.
Anderson County Commission has appointed attorney Tim Elrod as acting judge until Hunt returns, according to information from Les Hunt.
