Anderson SC voting results 2022: Here are winners of the midterm elections

Eight contested races were among 23 Anderson County school board seats up for votes in the 2022 midterm elections.

Here are the results from the voting that ended Nov. 8, according to unofficial results:

Anderson School District 1 Board of Trustees, Area 5

Wendy Burgess, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 1 Board of Trustees Area 5 seat.

Anderson School District 1 Board of Trustees, Area 4

Pat Cox, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 1 Board of Trustees Area 4 seat.

Anderson School District 1 Board of Trustees, Area 1

Melissa Hood, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 1 Board of Trustees Area 1 seat.

Anderson School District 1 Board of Trustees, Area 7

Nancy Owen Upton, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 1 Board of Trustees Area 7 seat.

Anderson School District 2 Board of Trustees, At-Large

Incumbent Jimmy Ouzts, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 2 At Large seat.

Anderson School District 2 Board of Trustees, Area 3

Kurt Tavernier, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 2 Board of Trustees Area 3 seat.

Anderson School District 2 Board of Trustees, Area 4

Greg Tysl, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 2 Board of Trustees Area 4 seat.

Anderson School District 3 Board of Trustees, Area 1

Larry Holbrook, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 3 Board of Trustees Area 1 seat.

Anderson School District 3 Board of Trustees, At-Large

Hannah Arnold defeated Curtis Wiles by 869 votes to win the Anderson School District 3 Board of Trustees At-Large seat.

Anderson School District 3 Board of Trustees, Area 4

Incumbent Marty Watt won the Anderson School District 3 Board of Trustees Area 4 seat over Anne Marie Rogers and Gale Moore Dickerson.

Anderson School District 4 Board of Trustees, Area 2

Incumbent Paulette Grate won the Anderson School District 4 Board of Trustees Area 2 seat.

Anderson School District 4 Board of Trustees, Area 4

Incumbent Diana Mullikin retained her seat as Anderson School District 4 Board of Trustees Area 4 representative by defeating Herbert Nymark.

Anderson School District 4 Board of Trustees, Area 5

Brad Mock, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 4 Board of Trustees Area 5 seat.

Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees, Area 1

Incumbent Julie Usherwood, who was unopposed, won the Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees Area 1 seat.

Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees, Area 2

Johnny Donald Jr. lost his seat as Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees Area 2 representative to Sandra Thompson.

Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees, Area 5

Incumbent Harold Kay II maintained the Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees Area 5 seat.

Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees, Area 6

Incumbent Rick Bradshaw kept the Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees Area 6 seat with a win over Erica Grunst.

Anderson School District 3, At-Large

Hannah Arnold defeated incumbent Curtis AWiles by 869 votes to become the new Anderson School District 3 At-Large member.

Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees, At-Large

Cindy Burriss won the Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees At-Large seat over Alison Youngblood. Incumbent Brad Freeman finished third in the race.

Anderson County Board of Education, Area 1

Incumbent Gary Burgess wins the Anderson County Board of Education unopposed with a total of 5,903 votes.

Anderson County Board of Education, Area 3

Doug Atkins, who was unopposed, won the Anderson County Board of Education Area 3 seat.

Anderson County Board of Education, Area 4

Greg Balog won the Anderson County Board of Education Area 4 seat after Jordan Evans withdrew from the election.

Anderson County Board of Education, Area 6

Incumbent C. Nakia Davis wins the Anderson County Board of Education Area 6 seat.
