Andover developers announce four businesses, including two national ones along Kellogg

Four new businesses are coming to Andover’s 110-acre Heritage development.

That’s the mixed-use development just east of Andover Road and north of Kellogg that has two housing developments and Heritage Square, the city’s first 5-story building, which will include apartments, public parking and commercial spaces.

QuikTrip and Dutch Bros Coffee will locate along Kellogg east of Heritage Square and across from the YMCA.

“They are just filling market needs, and they’re well-known national brands . . . and known for their excellent customer service,” said developer Jerry Jones.

Two new businesses also are coming to one of the four commercial buildings in front of Heritage Square.

They are Livingston’s Cafe, a sister restaurant to the one at Lincoln Heights Village in College Hill, and Flint Hills Dental Group. They’ll be on the corner of Heritage Way and Founders Parkway facing a new town square.

Heritage Plaza is a kind of a Main Street gathering spot with restaurants, service businesses and a town square that’s meant to be Andover’s first downtown.

Dutch Bros is under construction now.

“They’ll be the first to open for sure,” Jones said.

The others will open sometime in the new year.

Livingston’s Cafe owner Melissa Livingston Atkinson said she expects to open by late spring or summer.

“I’m not closing down the College Hill one,” she said. “I’m keeping it, too. (Andover is) just another location.”

There’s often confusion between her restaurant and her stepmother Jeanne Shaft’s Livingston’s Diner in Cambridge Market at 21st and Webb Road. Atkinson’s new Andover restaurant is adding to the restaurants being mixed up.

“Customers are very confused, which is understandable,” Atkinson said.

Along with news of the four new businesses, the new leasing office for the SkyLofts at Heritage Square is opening next week.

That’s a 186-unit apartment complex at Heritage Square.

There will be studio units along with apartments that have one, two or three bedrooms.

Monthly rent will range from the low 1,000s to the high 2,000s.

“They’re resort-style apartments,” Jones said.

There will be secured parking and a rooftop pool.

Each apartment has a patio. Many patios will face onto the pool deck and courtyard.

Eventually there will be restaurants on the ground floor level of the building as well.

Jones said everything is progressing well at the Heritage.

“We are truly amazed at the level of interest we’re getting, and we have a lot of other deals that we’re working on.”
