Andover Snowstorm: Winter Storm Warning, Schools Closed

ANDOVER, MA — Andover Public Schools will have a snow day Friday, the district said, among other measures around town and across the region.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning that will be in effect 1 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in Andover. The service forecasts 5 to 10 inches of snowfall in Andover from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Because the state is not counting any remote learning days toward the required 180-day in-person learning requirement this year, all snow days this year will be traditional snow days, unlike the hybrid or remote days some districts had last year.

The state is also closing all "Stop the Spread" coronavirus testing sites on Friday.
