Miguel Andujar finding home in OF, showing off power

While New York Yankees outfielder Miguel Andjuar has been barreling up baseballs, Colin Henderson warns fantasy managers to be cautious of his shaky plate discipline.

COLIN HENDERSON: A few bright spots for the Yankees these days has been Miguel Andujar. Pushed to an afterthought at third base since the emergence of Gio Urshela, Miggy has found a home in the Yankees' outfield, with Aaron Hicks out for the season and Mike Tauchman shipped off to San Francisco.

He has played just about every game since May 27 and has done well with the opportunity, hitting .304 over that span while bashing 5 homers, driving in 6, and scoring 10 runs across 56 at-bats. This has improved this season line to .261, .274, .417. Showing an improved glove in the outfield should keep Andujar in the lineup more often than not. And he is currently on pace to set a career high mark in barrel percentage.

This is great news, as fantasy managers remember his rookie season when he hit 27 homers and drove in 92 runs while leading the league in doubles back in 2018. However, he has still not shown any true plate discipline, as he strikes out too often and only registers a walk in 2% of his at-bats. He also continues to be a 0 in the stolen base category, having swiped only 3 total bags in the bigs, none of them this season.
