Andy Cohen hints at having a second baby, says Benjamin 'needs a sibling'
Andy Cohen's 7-month-old son, Benjamin, may get a brother or sister.
The "Watch What Happens Live" host stopped by "Today With Hoda & Jenna" and talked about what the past few months have been like as the parent of a growing boy and the possibility of expanding his family.
"Does he need someone to go through life with?" Hoda Kotb asked Cohen about his son.
After joking about the "Today" show host trying to set her new daughter, Hope Catherine Kotb, up with Benjamin, Cohen agreed that his son could use a sibling.
"Yes, he needs a girlfriend, and he needs a sibling,'' Cohen said. "I think maybe he does. I'm taking it one step at a time."
The 51-year-old dad said Benjamin is about to start crawling and moving around, which might make things a little harder for him.
Kotb began explaining her adoption process and how her agency makes people wait at least nine months before adopting a second child because that's how it works in "real life" for people having a child the traditional way. She noted that sometimes people get excited to adopt another kid right away.
"That's also why with the process that I did, I didn't go for twins,'' Cohen said. "I was like, I want to get kind of good at one before I decide whether I want to really have another one."
Cohen welcomed Benjamin on Feb. 4 via a surrogate.

The new father has been happily documenting life with his son since his arrival and has had his fair share of dad-shaming.
Shortly after Benjamin was born, Cohen recorded a video of his dog Wacha lying next to a chewed up stuffed toy.
"Did you just eat my son's stuffed Torah that the rabbi gave him?" Cohen playfully asked his pup. "Did you want to explain to my son what you did?"
Not everyone thought Wacha's antics were something to be laughed off. Cohen said he was bombarded by critics saying his dog was jealous of his son.
The Bravo host responded by saying it wasn't that serious and everyone needs to calm down.
"OK, flooded with DMs from people saying I’ve got a big problem on my hands – Wacha’s jealous of my son," he said on Instagram. "Wacha didn’t know that the Torah toy, we’re talking about a Torah toy, belonged to the baby. He just had his eye on a purple (expletive) toy, and he wanted to rip it apart. It’s not that deep. Stand down. Everything’s fine in the West Village."
