Free-agent quarterback Andy Dalton, the longtime Bengals' starter who has played for three teams in the past three NFL seasons, is expected to reach agreement on a two-year, $10-million deal with the Carolina Panthers that includes $8 million fully guaranteed, according to a report Tuesday via Twitter from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Vonn Bell, who played the past three seasons for the Bengals, is expected to sign with Carolina as well. In Sept. 2021, Bell was fined $10,300 for taunting then-Bears quarterback Dalton during the Bengals' Week 2 loss in Chicago.

When Dalton started for the New Orleans Saints against the Bengals last season, it was his third time facing his former team in three seasons. Dalton injured his back during the Saints' loss to Cincinnati.

Dalton, the Cincinnati Bengals' starting quarterback from 2011 to 2019, made nine starts for the Dallas Cowboys in 2020, six starts for the Bears in 2021 and 14 starts for the Saints in 2022.

Dalton, 35, signed a one-year deal with New Orleans last March.
