Andy Lau cancels birthday event

1 Aug – Fans were disappointed following news that Andy Lau has decided to cancel his birthday event, which was scheduled to be held later this month.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor recently shared the new development on his official website, "Andy World Club", which read, "After thorough consideration, we apologize that we have to cancel the birthday party originally scheduled on August 24.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused, and will issue full refund for the event, and please read the refund details. Thank you very much for your enrollment and your support."

When asked about it, Andy's manager stated that he is currently in contact with the fans, but failed to share the reason for the cancellation.

Although the actor's birthday is on 27 September, the Andy World Club earlier decided to organise the annual event in August this time as he would be busy performing in Singapore and Malaysia in September.
