Andy Slavitt is author of the new book, “Preventable: The Inside Story of How Leadership Failures, Politics, and Selfishness Doomed the U.S. Coronavirus Response.” Slavitt has spent his career working to ensure that every American has access to quality, affordable health care. He also served as Acting Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under the Obama administration. Slavitt joined the Biden administration in January to help control the spread of covid and get Americans vaccinated.
