Brad Pitt physically attacked Angelina Jolie and their children on a trans-Atlantic flight in 2016, according to an explosive court filing from Jolie’s attorneys.

The cross complaint, filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that Pitt shoved Jolie, choked one of their six children and poured alcoholic drinks on Jolie and the kids while they were trapped in the plane with him.

“Pitt grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall,” according to the complaint, which was obtained by the Daily Beast.

Jolie said the children tried to intervene on her behalf, so Pitt turned on them.

“Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened. Many were crying,” the court filing said. “Pitt periodically emerged from the back of the plane to yell and swear at them. At one point, he poured beer on Jolie; at another, he poured beer and red wine on the children.”

The FBI investigated Pitt for child abuse back in 2016, but no charges were filed. Jolie said the Sept. 14, 2016, flight was the inciting incident for her divorce filing five days later. Through unnamed associates, Pitt denied physically striking Jolie or the children, though he admitted the flight “was not his best moment.”

Tuesday’s filing was part of an ongoing legal battle between Pitt, 58, and Jolie, 47, over a French chateau and winery they bought together in 2008.

Jolie sold her 50% stake in the winery to Stoli Group in 2019. Pitt filed a lawsuit to stop the sale, arguing that he had to sign off on any transaction. On Tuesday, Jolie filed a counterclaim and argued that no such agreement existed.

The filing also said Jolie tried to sell her stake to Pitt — but he insisted on a nondisclosure agreement that would’ve prevented Jolie from talking about the alleged abuse.

“Why this nondisparagement clause was so important to Pitt — and an abusive and controlling deal-breaker for Jolie — goes to the very heart of this case and can be fully explained only by understanding what happened on that plane,” the filing said.
